WOLF IS SILENT

The moon’s silent light
Illuminates the night
Wolves’ lonesome call
Can be heard by all
He calls not in song
But conjoins with brothers
To unite each and all with others
Heard by Man who was quite enthralled
Then blazoned war causing families to fall
Why do Earth’s wolves enkindle such ire
Man feels above them but measures not higher
Wolves silent figures seen only with night
Nature’s repose brought moon’s gentle light
When wolf is silent and there is howling of moon
The spirit of wolves shall disappear soon
The moon on high marks what is hidden
And knows wolves’ life force vanished unbidden
O wondrous brethren leave not this earth
Your value is more and gold is your worth
Deserted God this planet and cursed it like Mars
Take heed wolf’s strange silence when moon has then howled
For limits of nature are more than allowed
If balance is shown being nothing but shallow
Wolf is the creature whose path all will soon follow
